Commencing Monday 26 October and on a fortnightly basis, the Monday competition tee times will commence at 8:30am off the 10th tee rather than 6:30am. This will permit additional time for the greens staff to access the course. All of the tee times from 8:30 to 12:30 will be within the competition timesheet, with the social play block removed.
By providing early course access for the course staff we will commence greens sanding, or topdressing, on Monday morning every second week. Topdressing provides a fine coverage of sand to the greens which is then rubbed and watered in prior to play. This helps smooth the putting surface, providing a true and even surface, and also improves turf health. Topdressing is undertaken throughout the growing season.
Gates to the course will open at 7:30am and all play will be off the 10th tee from 8:30am. There will be no social play from the 1st tee.
