Insurance for motorised buggies stored at Burleigh Golf Club has been obtained for 2024 however, this is limited to only whilst the buggy is located at Burleigh Golf Club. There are a number of risk minimisation requirements that must now be undertaken to ensure coverage is in effect. One requirement is for the club to ensure that an electrical check of the buggy is undertaken annually for every buggy stored at the club, and we will be organising this on behalf of members commencing in February 2024. The electrical safety checks will be undertaken by Gary Hearne, who already services many of the Members’ buggies. If you can provide documentation confirming that your buggy was serviced in the last 6 months and that it includes evidence of a satisfactory electrical inspection, then please provide this to the Club administration prior to Gary undertaking this check. A discount on the proposed new charge will then be given to you. If this is not able to be provided, the Club will have the buggy electrical check undertaken on your behalf and this will include the provision of a report to both the Club and member. The buggy storage fee for 2024/25, payable in June 2024 will increase accordingly and is yet to be confirmed.
It should be noted that 100% compliance in the buggy electrical check is a requirement for insurance coverage, so we trust you understand why the Club is taking this action on your behalf.
