Notice of 2025 Annual General Meeting

To All Life Members, Senior Members, Full Members, Full Conditional Members and Six Day Members

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of the GOLD COAST BURLEIGH GOLF CLUB LIMITED will be held in the CLUBHOUSE of the GOLD COAST BURLEIGH GOLF CLUB, Cnr Albion & Bardon Avenue, Miami, Queensland on MONDAY 13 October 2025 at 6:00 P.M.

Dear Fellow Burleigh Golf Club Members,

In 2025 Burleigh Golf Club celebrates its 75th year and it is a time to extend our thanks and appreciation to the members, volunteers and staff who have contributed to the quality of our course and clubhouse facilities over many years.

Together, we can take pride in knowing that Burleigh stands tall, with a quality golf course and a clubhouse that welcomes all with its presentation and atmosphere. While our financial position is sound, we share a commitment to keep raising the bar, ensuring that over time, Burleigh continues to inspire and lead the way in our local area.

We continue to allocate cash reserves to our Sinking Fund in line with the professional forecast we have commissioned. This forecast outlines in detail the projected expenditure required in the coming years to maintain both the clubhouse and the on-course capital investment. At the start of FY26, our Sinking Fund stands at $509K, and the Board remains firmly committed to sustaining and indexing these allocations to ensure the long-term preservation of our facilities.

Reserving funds for future clubhouse and course expenditure ensures that members who are currently receiving the benefit of these facilities are assisting to do the responsible thing by putting aside our share of their usage so that they can be replaced in years to come.

The number of rounds of golf played on the course decreased from 73,206 in FY24 to 68,060 in FY25 which is unsurprising given the weather throughout the year. This has an understandable effect on Match, Bar and Catering revenue.

A modest increase in adult membership numbers assisted to grow membership subscriptions from $1,664K last year, to $1,803 in FY25, with an additional $127.7K received in entrance fees compared to $132.5K in FY24.

Juniors and Cadets membership numbers have increased a substantial 55% from 143 at 30 June 2024 to 221 this year.

Rainfall increased from 1,335mm last year, to 2,400mm this year, with 73% received over the 6 months November to April 2025. My compliments go to Superintendent Darryl Edwards and his team for dedicating themselves to the course recovery over this period, and for the outstanding presentation of the course since those storms, especially during the period of our Club Championships, Pro Am, and Burleigh Cup.

This year we continue to invest in infrastructure and improvements at the Club and the course. Greens Expenditure increased by 8.3% to $1.584M, thought that did include the clean-up expense associated with Cyclone Alfred in March. We had an additional $724K in course capital improvement projects, and $94K in capital projects around the clubhouse.
