The Easter Classic was contested over Sunday and Monday of the Easter long weekend, drawing competitors for two days of spirited competition.
Junior member Kye Berrisford claimed the Men’s Single Stableford title in style, posting a combined total of 75 points across the two days to win by a single point from Bill Harrison. A composed and impressive performance from the young Burleigh member.
The Women’s division was settled emphatically on Monday when Vivienne Parkes produced a sensational round of 43 points, one of the standout individual performances of the weekend. That second-day effort lifted her total to 82 points and gave her a commanding four-point margin over Virginia Dowson. A thoroughly deserved victory.
In the Mixed 4BBB, Greg and Roberta Thompson proved victorious, finishing two shots clear of the pairing of Genie Whaites and Tom Dick to take the title.
